The Department of Pathology is seeking a Academic or Clinical Program Management Associate (Working title: Residency Program Coordinator) to provide project management assistance to the residents and associated faculty in the Department of Pathology. Tasks include managing the day-to-day administrative work of the program, assisting program directors with recruitment, evaluation, and accreditation activities, and supporting departmental administration with other tasks related to the residency program. Works extensively with staff from the Graduate Medical Education (GME) offices and the Clinical Staff Office (CSO). Works collaboratively with others on the Instructional Services Team, providing cross coverage for the fellowship/extern coordinator, clerkship/selectives staff, and Pathology Learning Center staff as directed by supervisor. This position is 100% time.
Duties to include:
• Recruit and retain prospective and current residents
• Enrollment management
• Academic standards and curricular policies
• Academic program management (planning, designing, integrating, and evaluating curriculum)
• Budget oversight and management

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in program/project management.
- Demonstrated ability to independently meet deadlines for work tasks and assigned responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments accurately and thoroughly in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
- Significant experience and proficiency with relevant technological applications (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, Qualtrics, Teams, Zoom).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on customer care and support
Desirable Qualifications: - Experience with ACGME residency or fellowship programs.
- Experience with physician scheduling software (Qgenda)
- Demonstrated background coordinating training and development activities.
- Experience working with data management systems like REDCap.
- Experience working in an academic medical center.
- Knowledge/understanding of University of Iowa (UI), Carver College of Medicine (CCOM), University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (UIHC), and Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) practices, rules and regulations.
