Responsibilities:
• Provide confidential administrative support, managing the Clinic Director's schedule and transcribing dictation. Compose correspondence and support department faculty.
• Assess and manage departmental purchasing needs, ensuring compliance with policies. Handle bids, purchase orders, inventory, and faculty/staff arrangements for CEU/conferences.
• Coordinate room reservations, clerkship seminars, and course materials. Act as a liaison between faculty and dental administration.
• Arrange CPR training, maintain records, and handle logistics.
• Participate in hiring student employees and oversee tasks.
• Serve as a department resource for computer support.
• Coordinate departmental meetings, including agenda creation and minute composition.
• Follow up on departmental biopsies and review/update forms and documents.
• Assist in coordination for the Vail Ski & CE conference, handling logistics and marketing.
• Create, update, and manage websites for the Department of OMFS and Hawkeye Oral Surgery.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary: $43,848.32
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm
May require occasional overtime as needed
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to four years of full-time employment and includes the use of word processing.
Desirable Qualifications:
o Demonstrated independent decision making and judgement
o Experience working with word processing (including dictation), spreadsheets, and calendaring software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams or Google).
o Excellent time management techniques demonstrating the ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities.
o Knowledge of HIPPA & FERPA regulations.
o Knowledge of basic dental terminology.
o Web content update experience in tools like Drupal, WordPress, or other current CMS solutions.
o Experience with Purchasing & Cash Handling.
o Academic support experience.
o Experience supervising students.
o Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
o Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
o Large Event planning experience.
