Primary Responsibilities:

Department: Office of Information Technology

Primary ResponsibilitiesPurpose of Job: Works with the Director of Academic Technology to support computer and audio-visual technologies in university learning spaces. This position will work with OIT staff to maintain and update classroom technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain hardware, software, peripheral equipment, and tools
  • Install, service, and support desktop computers, peripherals, and multimedia systems
  • Develop training and troubleshooting documentation
  • Engage in personal education, training, and staff development activities
  • Provide user application support and training
  • Assist in inventory management
  • Communicate issues and concerns expressed by end users

Supervision: Direct supervision from Director of Academic Technology, Dominick Percoco, for day to day instruction. Dominick Percoco will also act as the Staff Mentor within the Title III STEM Internship Program.


STEM Internship Program:This position is part of the Title III STEM Lobotrack to Success (LTS) SRSU STEM Internship Program. Along with the normal job duties, the student will learn from the faculty supervisor about the STEM workforce, different career pathways, research, and more. Students will gain knowledge, experience, and professional connections in the STEM field. Students will have access to professional development tools throughout the internship program (resume building, interview practices, etc.). Additionally, the student must present at the SRSU Student Symposium. For more questions regarding the internship program, reach out to Amanda Barrera (amanda.barrera@sulross.edu).

All other duties are assigned unique to the department. Responsible for the personal safety and the safety of others. This position is security sensitive.
