RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant in Saint Charles, MO.Responsibilities:
  • Accountant will monitor the general ledger for a portfolio of leased railcars by performing monthly key account reconciliations/analysis
  • Providing accurate and timely coding for invoices in accordance with internal reporting and US GAAP, working with cross functional departments to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations
  • Posting Journal entries that cover a multitude of areas including but not limited to Cash, AP, AR, Fixed assets, Revenue and Expenses
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for Company's leasing business and assist with month-end close activities
  • As an Accountant, you will assist with researching, tracking, and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies
  • Develop/generate lease fleet reports from our system to perform month over month analysis
  • Maintain fixed asset subledger related to our lease fleet
  • Assist in balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany
  • Ad hoc projects/analysis as required, including assisting with audit requests


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field required
  • 2 years of related experience required
  • Familiarity with US GAAP
  • Practical understanding and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of linked spreadsheets, data downloads, complex formulas, & pivot tables
  • Must have the ability to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented with attention to accuracy
  • Professional written and verbal skills to interact with people at various levels and functions
  • Must have the ability to work with a team and independently
  • SAP S/4HANA experience a plus
  • Knowledge of lease accounting is a strong plus


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
