EIT (Electronic Instrumentation & Technology) is looking for a temp-to-hire Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in our Leesburg, VA location! EIT is a Contract Manufacturer specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services and serves customers in the sectors of Industry, Communications, Aerospace, Defense and Healthcare.
Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.

• Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
  
• Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  
• Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
  
• Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  
• Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
  
• Other related duties, as assigned.
  

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree, preferred
  
• 1 - 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, required
  
• Experience with General Ledger, required
  
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy
  
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs
  
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems
  
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records
  

Working Conditions:

• Normal office environment
  
• 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off
  
• Temp-to-hire position, 3 month minimum
  
  

Rate:

$25/hr
