Governors State University is seeking to hire an Alumni Relations Office Administrator to collaborate with Alumni Relations leadership to develop and expand Alumni cultivation, stewardship, and engagement. The Office Administrator will facilitate the Alumni Association membership drive, alumni volunteer programs, increase alumni engagement, and donations. The Alumni Relations Administrator re-affirms the Alumni Relations Office and Alumni Association's Brand, vision, and prominence.
Essential Responsibilities25% Collaborate with Alumni Relations leadership to connect with GovState alumni, faculty/staff, and current students to cultivate and steward engagement, advocacy, relationships, and giving. Maintain office calendar, filing system upkeep, supply ordering, inventory, preparing travel documents & reimbursements, making travel arrangements, preparing & managing purchase orders, monitoring department budget.
25% Manage Alumni Relations & Alumni Association correspondences through interoffice communication, phone, voicemail, email, social media, eblast, and record / present Advisory Board meeting minutes and agenda to the Board of Advisors.
20% Acts as the official liaison to the Alumni Association Board of Advisors. Manages Association Memberships, Prospect and Wealth Screening Lists, Digital News notifications, Customer Relationships, Eblasts & Recipient Lists, Volunteer & Advocate Directory.
20% Assist in the planning & management of Alumni Relations & Association's events and engagements including décor, set-up, facilitation, day-of coordination, and acting as the Alumni Office representative in the absence of the head of Alumni Relations at events when necessary.
5% Research community partnerships on behalf of the Alumni Relations Office and Association members.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Hourly Range: $19.75.
(This is a negotiated position. Salary starts at the base up to an additional 5% based on Education and Experience exceeding the minimum qualifications per union contract).

Minimum Qualifications:
1) High School Diploma or equivalent
2) Any of the following from the categories below:
A. Four (4) years of experience comparable to the Office Support Specialist of this series.
B. Two (2) years of work experience comparable to the Office Manager of this series.
