RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a well-known luxury accessories company, is seeking an Accounting Associate (AP) to join the team. This is an incredibly successful luxury brand, and they offer medical coverage for the entire family, strong match on 401K, great work-life balance, great PTO package, and an excellent retention rate.Summary:This person ensures that assigned tasks pertaining to accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit card transactions, purchasing processes and varied supportive tasks are successfully completed to the company's standards of Excellence.Key Tasks:- Accounting Associate AP will perform verifications of journal, ledger, and other record's entries
- Administering the company's purchasing program including identifying new procurement categories
- Posting journal, ledger, and other records' entries
- Filing
- Photocopying
- Organizing and saving daily AP emails
- As an Accounting Associate AP, you will manage invoice work-flow process for approvals, timeliness, and accuracy
- Vendor creation and maintenance
- Prepare daily cash movement entries and prepare invoice and payment journals for daily bank activity
- Processing vendor invoices
- Submitting checks and vouchers for review and signature
- Managing ACH and Positive Pay FTP payment files to banks
- Accounting Associate AP will prepare year end 1099 and 1096 forms as required by law
- Be able to identify use tax transactions when required
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end accrual schedules
- Preparing journal entries
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closings as requested
- Assisting in special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree required
- 3+ years of experience in a general accounting environment
- Basic understanding of accounting industry principles and best practices
- Written and oral communication skills
- Relevant computer programs including Excel and Dynamics 365 Math skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Credit card administration
- Purchase ordering
- Ability to learn and retain facts
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
