Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to manage sales activity within a defined territory for surgical products by implementing marketing strategies through personal contact with key decision makers and influencers in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. This person will be responsible for achieving predefined sales goals through both new account development as well as maintenance and growth of existing accounts. The candidate should possess a strong knowledge of the medical device industry, the customer base, competitors' products and pricing strategies. The position requires extensive travel to achieve results. The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

Region includes Connecticut, New York and Northern New Jersey

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and execute marketing strategy within assigned territory.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers (e.g., surgeons, nurses, supply chain personnel) at targeted hospitals and other healthcare facilities within the territory.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with these individuals to explain the benefits of using our product portfolio.
  • Achieve predefined sales targets by selling appropriate products at appropriate prices through the development of effective sales presentations and proposals.
  • Educate customers on Davol products including their features and benefits.
  • Assist customers in evaluating their needs and developing specifications for products required for patient care.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Collaborate with sales support staff such as clinical specialists to provide comprehensive product information to customers.
  • Manage all business activities within the territory according to Company policy and procedures.
  • Identify and evaluate potential opportunities within the territory.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to represent the Company and promote its products.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in sales of medical devices preferred.
  • Knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols related to purchasing and inventory control.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare facility systems, especially those related to supply chain management.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Travel requirements up to 50% per year.

$62,600.00 - $103,300.00 USD Annual
