Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing domestic internal audit activities, including corporate audits, consulting projects, continuous monitoring projects, and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance. The role involves performing financial and operational audits to ensure adherence to Tyson policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities include managing international and plant audits, supporting compliance investigations as needed, and building strong relationships with process owners.

Key duties include:

• Executing efficient and effective audit approaches, ensuring work is completed on schedule and within budget.
• Evaluating key risks, establishing audit objectives and scope, and developing audit programs.
• Partnering with process owners to discuss risks, determine tolerances, and identify continuously monitored risks.
• Reviewing audit documentation, including work papers, narratives, test results, and issues.
• Communicating audit findings and drafting audit reports.
• Identifying and recommending process improvements.
• Planning and performing special projects as assigned by senior management.
• Leading and developing audit staff.
• Establishing a reputation as a valuable service to business and corporate functions.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of audit experience, combining public accounting and industry internal audit preferred; strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP; knowledge of PowerBI is preferred.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; capable of working and communicating effectively with all management levels; strong presentation skills.
• Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent.
• Supervisory: Experience managing a team performing related tasks and activities.
• Travel: Up to 1-5 trips per year.
• Location: Springdale, Arkansas (onsite)
