Job Description:
The Nebraska Broadband Office has an exciting opportunity for a Broadband Outreach Coordinator to join our communications team! Under Governor Pillen's leadership, the Broadband Office was formed to create a more transparent, flexible, and proactive response for Nebraska's broadband needs.

Job Duties:
•Deploy outreach campaigns and events by organizing logistics and ensuring alignment with program goals, coordinating closely with internal teams, local organizations, and key external stakeholders.
•Build and maintain collaborative relationships with state and federal agencies, local governments, and other relevant partners to support the development of resources, reports, and policies that promote broadband infrastructure expansion.
•Coordinate and participate in stakeholder meetings and briefings, preparing customized presentation materials, walkthrough guides, and FAQs. Facilitate working sessions and information briefings both in person and via webinars to gather valuable stakeholder insights for state and federal programs.
•Communicate effectively and accurately the different types of broadband delivery models, as well as companies, services, entities, and grant programs in the industry.
•Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms and update our website to support outreach objectives.
•Contribute to the development and distribution press releases, newsletters, and informational materials to ensure consistent and accurate information reaches diverse audiences.
•Monitor, analyze, and report on outreach and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify areas for improvement.
•Provide assistance on policies, principles, and standard operating procedures related to the broadband programs to external stakeholders.
•Assist with processing grant applications, project submittals, and grant disbursements through grant closeout and compliance.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Two year post high school degree or equivalent coursework/training in communications, public administration, business administration, regional or community planning, social sciences, education, or human rights, and one year of experience in project management, public policy, marketing and/or planning. Additional years of experience in comparable fields of work listed may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, public administration, business administration, regional or community planning, social sciences, education, or human rights. Experience coordinating with local, state and community entities. Experience managing relationships through partnerships and collaborating and communicating with agency staff, public officials and external stakeholders.

Other: A valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation is required. Must be available for occasional overnight travel. Regular and reliable attendance is also required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work effectively and directly with multiple government agencies, clients, the public and private sector personnel.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, to a diverse range of audiences and settings.

• Ability to interpret and apply state and federal laws, rules, statutes and regulations.
