Overview

i3 is seeking a Budget Analyst with a strong financial background to support the PM UAS Product Offices. The ideal candidate will be able to articulate and defend the budget models, estimates, processes, as well as have recent/relevant experience gained from military/civilian service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills to help derive information provided from the technical and management teams. This position is located in Huntsville, AL at Redstone Arsenal.

Travel: May require travel up to 5%.
Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, track, and analyze manpower information.
  • Provide input to the Manpower data collection guidelines.
  • Oversees routine data updates by Project Offices and HQ staff.
  • Assists subordinate offices with answering questions or resolving issues regarding Manpower data updates.
  • Submits updates to the Manpower data in SharePoint and Human Resources Database (HRDB) site.
  • Coordinates with the Manpower/IOB Lead to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with PM POCs to conduct organizational reviews and manpower surveys.
  • Utilizes inputs to determine manpower requirements and creates and staffs the organization's manpower and IOB submission.
  • Receives and disseminates manpower allocation, including the coordination of the initial and final numbers.
  • Conducts studies and analysis of organizational structures and functions in connection with proposals for reorganizations, organizational realignments, and restructuring.
  • Understand and correctly instructs the use of all Army funding appropriations for associated Manpower and IOB activities.
  • Support IOB execution of funds and tracking of labor and efforts.
  • Execution of funding in support of the IOB via General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience and a minimum of 10 years of experience surrounding budgeting/related financial management OR MA/MS degree or equivalent years of experience and a minimum of 8 years of experience surrounding budgeting/related financial management.
  • Must have experience and familiarity with Army appropriation funds.
  • Must have Project/Product Management Office or very related experience.
  • Must understand and correctly manage TDA for core civilian and FMS.
  • Must have demonstrated experience working individually as well as organizing and facilitating working groups.
  • Must have experience preparing detailed written reports and briefings suitable for presentation to senior level military and corporate leadership, as well as present material orally.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Active Secret Clearance and ability to maintain Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
