Business Immigration Paralegal (temporary to hire)

Beacon Hill Legal's client, a national law firm, located in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking a Business Immigration paralegal for a contract opportunity, with the potential for conversion. Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in business immigration in a law firm setting, particularly with L-1 and PERM processes. The candidate hired must commute to their office in Midtown on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with, prepare and file employment-based applications (H, L, E, O, P, TN, EB-1s, NIWs, and EB-2 + EB-3 PERM labor certifications, etc.) under attorney supervision.
• Assist with the coordination and preparation of complex cases such as O-1 and EB-1 petitions, motions to reconsider.
• Assist with Audits of client documents including I-9, H-2B, LCA and PERM files.
• Research and assist with the preparation of Responses to Requests for Evidence, Responses to Intent to Deny Notices, etc.
• Experience with Js and J-1 waivers, Schedule A, student issues, visitor visa issues, naturalization, family immigration.

Requirements

• BA or BS Degree preferred.
• Associate's degree or paralegal certificate required.
• 5+ years of professional work experience in business immigration in a law firm
• Experience with LawLogix and/or INSZoom, or similar system is preferred.
