Farm Credit of Northwest Florida

JOB DESCRIPTION

Farm Credit of Northwest Florida is a small and growing member of the larger Farm Credit System (the total system is one ten largest lenders in America). We are a member owned cooperative that focuses on serving people who want to live, work or play in the country here in the Florida panhandle. We are looking for a competitive individual who balances intuition and analytics to serve as our Capital Markets Officer. We believe we best serve the Farm Credit mission in both the Florida panhandle and in the larger system when we are good stewards of our members' capital and seek to best maximize the return on it. If you are someone who is creative, yet structured and who wants to win for both personal gain and for the good of the company, but is not drawn to direct sales, this could be a great fit. The work environment is fast paced while also being friendly. This is a new role in an existing and successful business line and as such, offers the chance to have a hand in building the structure of the role. Given the nature of the work, financial skills and numeracy combined with cogent communication are essential.

The Capital Markets Officer will be responsible for maximizing quality business growth opportunities while managing a portfolio of loan participations and collaborating with lending staff on loan servicing. They will use their expertise in agricultural lending to create and foster relationships within the Farm Credit system, banking partners, and other loan originators to drive business development opportunities and syndication/participation portfolio growth. They will be able to effectively prescreen proposed credit requests and clearly communicate credit actions to Loan Committee according to Association policy and procedures. They will enjoy the challenge of managing a loan portfolio in a work culture that welcomes and respects relationships, analytical skills, attention to detail, timely decision making, and candid conversations.

The salary range for the position is $104,900-131,200 plus general and uncapped production incentive and up to 9% employer contribution to your 401K as part of a full benefits package. Proficient in English and bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00.
