Description:Reporting to the Director of Acute Care the Clinical Nurse demonstrates applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.

Shift: Varied - Day / Evening / Night / Weekend / 7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7 am

Description:
  • Reporting to the Director of Acute Care the Clinical Nurse demonstrates applies the nursing process to plan and manage the care of routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
  • This is a true "med/surg" unit, you will get to see a great variety.
  • Kaiser patients are on this floor.
Responsibilities:
  • Plans and manages care of routine patients
  • Educates patients and family
  • Planning continuum of care
What you will need

Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred. Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
Preferred:
  • BSN or MSN preferred
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting
