Position Summary:

Flexible work arrangements, including remote/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine's Working Forward initiative. As such, this position's work location is designated as hybrid. Please note that the designated work location is subject to change based on the unit's business needs.

This position will serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Radiation Oncology within the UNC School of Medicine. The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, and conduct of multiple clinical research study protocols, including independently collecting and recording data, project administration, and communication with various stakeholders.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Comprehensive knowledge of clinical research principles, study design, and methods of data collection is required. Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects. Ability to follow guidelines for assessing compliance with study protocol. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills. Professionalism, dependability, and integrity are a must as position will be interacting with and reporting to various professionals throughout the department and health care system.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

Experience with IRB submissions and EPIC medical record system preferred.
