What to Expect

The Commercial Credit Manager - Underwriting is responsible for managing all aspects of the originations underwriting process for large dealer groups, including deal structure, pricing, scoring, real estate, etc. In addition, this role will be responsible for assisting in periodic reviews/renewals.

What You Will Do

1. Manage the Commercial Credit underwriting process for large dealer groups including direct interaction with Sales and/or Dealer owners/personnel regarding structuring of new requests and/or issues identified during the underwriting process.

2. Compose executive summary outlining request structure and underwriting findings for a.) review with Commercial Credit Director/VP and Commercial Risk, b.) presentation to appropriate Credit Committee.

3. Manage the funding process of approved commercial products for large dealer groups (and other dealers as required) including interaction with the Real Estate and Legal Teams regarding the drafting of terms sheets and loan agreements.

4. Portfolio management duties (overline approvals, financial statement review, the Watch credit process) for the first 6 months of flooring relationship and ensure the smooth transition to the Portfolio Management Team.

5. Assist with the review/recommendations of periodic reviews/renewals for other dealers as required.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

• Minimum 5 years progressive related experience in dealership operations and financial statements.

• B.A. in Business, Finance or Economics.

• Excellent understanding of factors that impact the auto business & dealer profitability.

• Exposure to loan policies and procedures.

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Office products.

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
