Compliance Specialist

As the Compliance Specialist, you are responsible for development and implementation of VUHL's written policies, collaborating with Audit to appropriately scope/test the policies, and compliance training including the research and development of assigned written policies and procedures.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement annual corporate training curriculum, which includes collaborating with subject matter experts, coordinating department and branch-level reporting, and creating communication to support the training objectives.
  • Review each policy and training course content no less often than annually and initiate updates as needed.
  • Collaborate with audit to scope the testing of policies, providing support in the identification of the key policy objectives.
  • Review Audit reports of assigned subject matters and ensure follow up of identified outages.
  • Develop and implement written policies and procedures, which includes but is not limited to, collaborating with subject matter experts, researching state and federal regulations, and creating communication to support the final policy.
  • Monitor and manage the compliance mailbox.
  • Monitor and update compliance resources for assigned subject matters including QRGs, Alerts, etc.
  • Conduct compliance reviews to measure on-going compliance with federal regulations.
  • Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

  • 2-3 years of experience in the areas of compliance, legal or audit
  • Experience with formal, written communications, press releases, or customer service
  • Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Regular and predictable attendance
