Rivet has multiple opportunities on our growing Marine Corps Systems Command professional support services team spanning program and acquisition management, logistics, finance, contracts, engineering, IT, data, and other DoD acquisition command professional service requirements.

Duties:

Under the direction of the Senior IT Acquisition Systems Engineer, the Data Engineer will be responsible for supporting Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) program engineers in developing requirements and processes for the management of configuration items within various environments. Support includes working with engineers to translate product goals and initiatives into future capabilities and solution releases in the development of a technology roadmap that includes the identification of risks and integration complexities.

Additionally, the Data Engineer fulfills a few roles:

• Be customer-facing, customer-service oriented, proactive, responsive, and effective in handling all customer communications and issues.

• Support the Task Lead in carrying out the vision, strategy, direction, and quality control of task-level performance.

• Contribute individually and within a team to achieve exceptional customer outcomes.

• Support the synchronization of contractor personnel at different levels of the organization.

• Support standards of professional excellence for our team, including our subcontractor partners, and for our competitors.

Compensation Minimum: 127000

Compensation Maximum: 143000

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Four years of data engineering experience of increasing complexity in recent information technology environments and programs, including familiarity with Agile principles and methods.
• Familiarity with systems engineering in order to take advantage of computational technology, modeling, analytics, and data sciences as it applies to systems engineering.
• Strong verbal communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals.
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to initiate plans, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook).

Education or Certification:

• Bachelor's degree

Security:

• Requires the applicant to pass the security clearance requirement for the position. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.
