RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Data Engineer in San Jose, CA.Overview:The client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in quality assurance and test automation for data-driven applications, particularly Power BI dashboards and BI tools. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing automated testing processes to ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of our dashboards, advanced analytics applications, and reporting tools. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with software developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to establish testing requirements and develop robust testing solutions to ensure reliable, high-quality insights are delivered to the business.REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related field
- 1-4 years of Data Engineering experience
- Experience and proficiency with BI tools (Power BI preferred) and DAX language for creating, testing, and maintaining dashboards
- Experience with Git to track and manage testing scripts and documentation; Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and the integration of automated tests is preferred
- Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Strong skills in Python and SQL ETL tools like Airflow for scripting automated tests, data validation, and backend testing
- Excellent communication skills when interfacing with cross-functional teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
