Role: Data Governance Product Manager - III

Location: Basking Ridge, NJ

Job Type: Contract

RESONSIBILITIES:

• Identify, coordinate, and engage with data stewards and data analysts to drive data governance outcomes and manage data including data collection methodologies in support of company products.
• Responsible for gathering or assisting with gathering information requirements for output.
• Create comprehensive documentation of metrics and data governance processes, embedding business requirements and contextual understanding.
• Develop a strong understanding of targeted business operations and assist in the analysis of related business processes.
• Work directly with business sponsors and key stakeholders to ensure the solution meets the product vision and business objectives.
• Implement a change management process for new reporting protocols in the analytics organization, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and a comprehensive understanding of changes.
• Act as a champion for data governance, representing the organization's interests in cross-functional meetings and contributing to a culture of data literacy.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, employing strong project management skills to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Conduct training sessions and create educational materials for stakeholders to enhance understanding and engagement.

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in data governance, analytics, or a related field.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including business SMEs and IT teams.
• Documentation: Experience in creating clear and concise documentation and training materials.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Familiarity with data analytics tools and platforms.
• Understanding of change management processes in an analytical context.
• Ability to interpret and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, e.g. Looker, Qlik, Tableau, ThoughtSpot

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
• Certifications in Data Governance, Project Management (e.g., PMO), or Change Management (e.g., Prosci) are preferred.
• Additional training or coursework in analytics, data management, or business intelligence is a plus.
