(Contingent upon available funding): Commensurate with education and experience Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our research team focused on human subjects' research. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and statistics. This role involves analyzing complex data sets, including raw sensor data, extracted features, and clinical data, identifying and utilizing the correct analyses, including time series statistical models, machine learning and deep-learning predictive models. This role helps oversee data integration, feature extraction from raw signal data, ensuring data quality, and serves as the statistical expert on the studies that are being performed at HPNRI and The Innovation Foundation. Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D./Ed.D. inĀ Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science.
Proficiency in interpreting and applying data from various sources. Strong knowledge of different statistical methodologies (e.g., linear mixed effects models, dimension reduction techniques, autoregressive integrated moving average, exponential smoothing, classification algorithms, clustering, etc.) Experience with programming language (e.g. R, Python, Java, SQL, Tableau, MATLAB, Power BI) Experience with designing, conducting, and analyzing data from human subjects' research studies. Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), visualization, deep learning frameworks, machine learning algorithms, casual inference and casual machine learning models, longitudinal (time series data) data, mixed models, optimization, and simulations. Experience using cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake
Programming capabilities in Object Oriented Languages. Proven track record of applied data science in research. Commitment to continuing to learn about the field. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
