In this role, you will:

  • Own the development of the full 0-18 month forecast for assigned brands.

  • Develop a 0-3 month near term forecast by partnering with key internal customers to understanding strategic initiatives, planning successful implementation and executing critical tactics.

  • Develop a 4-18 month long term forecast by partnering with key internal customers to understand current year and future year plans and ensure alignment to long term forecast.

  • Identify forecast error root cause through data analysis, often times extracting disparate data from the Data Lake (Snowflake / Hana) to create ad-hoc reports (Power BI) to drive month over month forecast accuracy improvement.

  • Lead the monthly Demand Review to communicate Demand Planning perspectives and assumptions associated with brand initiatives, opportunities, and issues to cross-functional teams and leadership.

  • Lead the S&OE process check and adjust execution against the forecast to ensure delivery of forecast.

  • Participate in the monthly Product Review meeting with Marketing, BU Sales, Product Supply and Finance to gather and align on forecast inputs.

  • Collaborate with BU Sales and customer teams to ensure changes in retail plans are understood, communicated throughout S&OP meetings, and accurately accounted for in the volume forecast

  • Lead and facilitate the development of a future year annual forecast as part of the AOP process for assigned brands.

  • Partner with BU Sales and Product supply as a resource to understand volume drivers, current plans, and provide thoughts/ideas on drivers of gaps to collaborate on gap closure.

  • Drive continuous improvement of volume forecasting processes and the performance of the demand forecasting tools and systems by sharing ideas with Sr. Long Term Demand Planners and Sr. Short Term Demand Planners.

  • Ensure effective utilization of forecasting tools to deliver business results and improve volume forecast accuracy through utilization of base and incremental tracking and mix/profile analysis that helps ensure optimal customer service results.

  • Influence and clearly communicate forecast changes and assumptions to various functions and levels within the organization on a monthly basis; including General Managers, Vice Presidents, and Directors within Marketing, BU Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Development.

  • Collaborate and build relationships with business partners across various functions throughout the organization on a daily basis.

  • Ability to analyze and make decisions using insights, data, and cross functional inputs.

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Finance or Customer Development

  • Experience with accurate business forecasting, supply and demand, and quantitative business analysis skills.

  • Experience in developing customer relations and providing business analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills, experience extracting repository data and building reports in tools such as Power BI, Business Objects, SAP Analytics Cloud, Business Objects, or Tableau. Strong user of Excel.

  • Experience explaining to other business partners the insights of ad-hoc reporting to identify root cause of forecast errors.

  • Team player that has the ability to share knowledge with peers to elevate the data analytics capabilities of the team.

  • Strong leadership, oral and written communication, problem solving, ethical judgement and decision making, storytelling, and project/risk management.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of work time.

Preferred (not essential, but desired):

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Development, Shopper Research, and Marketing concepts is a plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience with K-C planning process is a plus.

  • Proficient in data access, analytical tools, and PC based applications (Microsoft Suite, SAP, TPM/A4O).

  • Cross-cultural, prioritization and time management, resource and team management, active listening, adaptability, and interpersonal and social perspectives.
