Summary of Role:

GLOBALFOUNDRIES is looking for a Software Engineer to participate in the architecture, development, and validation of advanced software that drives the development and validation of Process Design Kits (PDKs). This role provides opportunities in software development including advanced applications such as ML/AI, through the realization of critical solutions for GF's PDKs.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Working with cross-functional teams to realize outstanding software solutions.
  • Standardize design rule development and data consumption process.
  • Analyze and transform existing design rules to ensure optimized, standard rule implementations.
  • Identify the gaps in current design rule standards and create new standards.
  • Drive solutions to improve the efficiency and robustness of design rule development and validation.
  • Architecting and developing Python based software.
  • Applying advanced concepts such as AI.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education - Graduating with Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited degree program.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Strong skills in Python
  • Experience in applying AI
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
  • Strong skills in Python.
  • Firsthand experience with revision tools, e.g., Git, Perforce, Clearcase.
  • Experience with EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools is a plus.
  • Experience with applying AI solutions is a plus.

Expected Salary Range
$52,500.00 - $107,000.00
