The Jewish Board's Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming, person-centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resiliency of our communities.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Deputy Executive Program Director CBH Business Operations the Director of Central Hiring is a member of the Community Behavioral Health Division's leadership team and is primarily responsible for implementation and processes of the central hiring team. This position is responsible for ensuring that potential candidates for hire are qualified for the positions they seek and receive timely and engaging onboarding.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Facilitate team meetings with Human Resource Talent Acquisition partners and CBH program leadership on a regular basis to discuss and review critical program vacancies and recruiting efforts
  • Responsible for reviewing all candidates in Dayforce and determining eligibility based on open available Community Behavior Health positions.
  • Work with program leads to streamline onboarding and improve experience
  • Collaborate with the Learning Department to implement a centralized internship program recruiting social work interns into clinics in all 5 clinics and standardizing experience and education
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction and improve retention
  • Collaborate with Marketing and the recruitment team in Human Resources to identify and strategize on filling key positions.
  • Ensure that the correct Requisition to Hire is reflected in DayForce
  • Ensure that the correct Job Description is posted internally and externally
  • Interview potential candidates for all Community Behavioral Health positions and ensure post interview disposition timely
  • Work closely with the Human Resources team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for candidates
  • Provide follow-up to new employees at 30, 60 and 90 days and provide feedback to senior leadership.
  • As part of program management, identify and develop systems to improve program operations
  • Develop and monitor staffing data metrics and dashboards as part of continuous quality improvement.
  • May serve as back up to other program leadership, assuming responsibility for operations in their absence.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to use data and metrics to inform hiring decisions and improve recruitment processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to address challenges and find effective solutions in the hiring process.
EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIRED:
  • Master's degree in human services and New York State clinical licensure in social work (LMSW, LCSW). Solid clinical skills and knowledgeable of a variety of programs/services. Excellent organizational skills, teamwork and communication skills. Experience working with electronic medical records and proficient with use of Microsoft Office.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED/LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:
  • A minimum of 3 years in previous supervisor role
COMPUTER SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proficient with electronic health record; Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); comfortable and proficient using audio video platforms (i.e., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
VISUAL AND MANUAL DEXIERITY:
  • The candidate should be able to read paper and electronic documents and perform significant data entry into various computer programs
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL EFFORT
  • Hybrid work setting. Position entails a combination of in person and remote work. Allocation of time to be developed in collaboration with Program Director and is based on the needs of the programs
