Are you our next Director, IT Strategy, Portfolio and Financials?

As a member of the IT Leadership Team (ITLT), the Director, IT Strategy, Portfolio and Financials will direct the delivery of global IT services, which will include setting the standards and ways of working across the IT function that will ensure quality, effectiveness, and efficiency in the delivery of IT services.

What will you do?

IT Strategic Planning and Governance: Direct and manage the short-term and long-term global IT strategic planning process and program vision from development through successful execution in partnership with the ITLT, senior leadership and business partners.

  • Lead the development and implementation of an IT governance structure which will include oversight, standards, policy, methods, tools, and controls.

IT Project Portfolio and Investment Management: Direct the governance around IT's operating model and project portfolio which will include the following:
  • Lead the program office for the overall management of the IT portfolio. Includes design and oversight of the operating model, along with resource planning and metrics to assist in analysis and decision making of IT resources/initiatives.
  • Partner and collaborate with the IT Leadership Team to analyze and prioritize new initiatives to focus on the highest priority items to achieve business results.
  • Conduct regular project reviews on significant initiatives to ensure consistent use of project management methodology, ensure critical risks are identified and key milestone dates are achieved.
  • Direct the delivery of business investment services to all IT portfolios by consolidating investment plans, providing on-going tracking of investments by function and operating unit, facilitating the selection of third-party providers, and processing IT chargebacks.
  • Direct the development and delivery of change management strategies, methodology and standards and provide oversight to support IT programs and projects.

Finance and Vendor Management: Direct the delivery of global IT finance and vendor management services, which includes the following:
  • Lead the budgeting process for indirect spend, facilitating monthly cost management review sessions, commitment request creation and monthly scorecard generation.
  • Provide support to the IT Leadership Team during collaboration sessions.
  • Assess and optimize IT indirect spending by seeking opportunities to reduce cost, consolidate vendors, renegotiate, or restructure contracts.
  • Effectively manage relationships with key solution delivery providers such as application software and contracting organizations.
  • Conduct regular performance review sessions designed to engage IT management with key vendor representatives. Ensure escalated issues are appropriately resolved.
  • Direct the selection of new service providers including scope definition, service level requirement definition, legal review, and RFP process.
  • Forecast demand for service providers and proactively communicate to vendor partners.

People Leadership
  • Lead, develop and coach the IT Strategy, Portfolio and Financials team to continually improve the capabilities necessary to increase performance of the organization.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of their work, roles and the business.
  • Manage performance issues when necessary.
  • Work with employees on their career development plans.
  • Ensure a strong succession pipeline for the assigned area.
  • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by a continual service improvement approach.
  • Other job duties and projects as assigned.

IT Leadership Team:
  • As an active member of the IT Leadership Team, provide global thought leadership to help drive technology innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the development of the IT strategic plan, annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource management activities that aligns with business strategies and priorities.
  • Ensure the continued adoption, maturity and continuous improvement of the Agile operating model.
  • Collaborate with other platform leaders on cross-platform initiatives.
  • Ensure the continuous development of the right organizational talent and capabilities to bring significant strategic value to the organization.

What do you need for this role?
  • Bachelor's degree required, major inInformation Technology, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology and operations combined with experience in finance, project management and business analysis.
  • Program management and Agile experience, including management of multiple projects, multiple program work streams, or multiple project managers in a program office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through management experience with direct reports and/or project/program management experience.
  • Ability to direct, advise and provide guidance to project team members on matters of communication, including intervention or corrective action as needed.
  • Ability to provide direct and open feedback on project/program status, issues, risks, or problems while maintaining positive personal and business relationships.
  • Strong experience with change management.
  • Must be a self-driven, motivated senior IT leader with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and good customer and executive presence.
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple, fast changing priorities.
  • Strong motivational leader that possesses a hands-on, lead by example approach with the ability to lead a fast-paced IT team of both full time and contract staff.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, facilitation and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding and the "discuss-decide-support" philosophy
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and team building skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, support activities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively work and create effective partnerships with employees at all levels within the organization.

Mosaic is a pay for performance company. The salary range for this role is $180,000 - $215,000. Total compensation is based on performance and contribution.
