Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Operations to join their team. This role is pivotal in managing warehouse operations, specifically focusing on the construction and fabrication of exhibit and tradeshow booths. This role requires a thorough understanding of booth fabrication techniques and materials. This is a fully on-site role based in our client's location in Bolingbrook, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with design and sales teams to ensure fabrication methods align with design concepts and budget constraints
- Assist in the recruitment of carpenters and project managers
- Standardize construction and setup drawings
- Manage production lead time schedule and inventory system across multiple facilities
- Develop strategic plans, manage budgets, and set business objectives
- Ensure quality control and compliance with policies, procedures, and productivity standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the tradeshow & exhibit industry
- Proven expertise in exhibit fabrication techniques and materials
- Must have previous hands-on experience with tradeshow booth construction, custom construction, millwork, cabinetry, fixtures, or similar
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/marketing or related study preferred
- Demonstrated experience in providing leadership, implementing strong team-building skills, and mentoring staff
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- AutoCAD experience
