POSITION SUMMARY
As a strategic partner to the broader Americas region, the role will support the execution of the Americas region's strategic initiatives and drive integration of strategic acquisitions. You will work alongside the key leaders to help the business design, implement, and communicate enhancements to the organizations' strategy, productivity, performance, and long-term profitability.
This role will serve in a series of rotational assignments across Sales, Integration, Strategy, and other key areas of the Americas. While the specific job deliverables will vary according to unique project and rotation needs, you will have the broad skills needed to exercise strong analytical, critical thinking, governance, and program management capabilities while helping to solve complex problems and communicate plans and progress. You will work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment that exposes you to a variety of experiences across the organization while you develop business skills and increase the bandwidth and velocity of the Americas.
This position requires extensive interaction and collaboration across business functions and all levels of staff including senior executives, business leaders, and subject-matter-experts. You will work independently and collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
Essential Job Functions

- Communications skills: ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively. Ability to manage controversial situations including senior level leaders and external groups.
- Strategic Execution: engage with key stakeholders in the Americas, Corporate Strategy & Planning, Marketing, Sales, Product Lines, Finance and other functions to execute high visibility projects that support the Company's top initiatives.
- Business Results: desire to understand, influence, and support management of the P&L through the journey of business integration and acceleration.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES 40% - Provide program support for strategic initiatives across the Americas, including Sales, Strategy, and Services
- Provide hands-on project support for prioritized initiatives led by senior members of the Americas; activities may include conducting market research, collecting and analyzing feedback, performing financial analysis, supporting brainstorming sessions, and compiling recommendations while being exposed to key leaders and subject experts across the business
- Drive program management and governance processes to keep key strategic projects on track to ensure they meet business requirements and goals; track key action items and project milestones to support on-time program delivery
- Prioritize the business portfolio of strategic initiatives to develop complete programs, including an understanding of costs, anticipated benefits, risks, and interdependencies
- Establish measurement criteria to monitor the performance of established strategies, drive governance to review progress, and action countermeasures as necessary
- Support subject matter experts in documenting processes to support activities and drive improvement
30% - Drive integration efforts for strategic acquisitions in the Americas
- Partner with M&A and business leadership to formulate the integration approach, operational structure, and key milestones/metrics for each acquisition.
- Partner with business leaders to define workstream objectives and plans to launch holistic post-acquisition integration activities to maximize value, with a key focus on scaling for rapid growth.
- Develop workplans to integrate HR, Legal, IT, Finance, and Marketing processes and support into existing Vertiv operating model and organization.
- Be proactive and define the long-term integration roadmap to stay ahead of day-to-day tactical activities and communicate vision to all stakeholders.
- Drive day-to-day execution of the integration process, including influencing cross-functional teams, managing weekly integration team meetings and driving proactive issue resolution.
30% - Develop executive communication for internal and external purposes
- Develop concise executive-level presentations and communications to drive timely and informed decision making
- Partner with internal teams to identify core messages for delivery; unify messaging across the Americas region to ensure alignment for key deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: (education, experience level, knowledge, skills, certifications).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Technology/Operations preferred; MBA preferred
- 7+ years of experience, including tenure in a top-tier management consulting firm, an internal business consulting function, investment banking or similar such experience
- Exceptional written and oral skills communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Suite skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
