The District Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of district operations consistent with and supportive of company policies and procedures, with an emphasis on exceeding personal, district and corporate goals. The District Manager works with all levels of the organization from upper management/leadership to general laborers, building strong communication skills and making the ability to relate to people honestly at all levels extremely important. This position can be particularly stressful with the urgency to meet multiple deadlines while ensuring a commitment to quality work and a safe work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the district sales and marketing efforts, including the building of strategic alliances with clients and other key participants in the industry, with an emphasis on maintaining continuity and improving market share.
  • Ensures the protection of the interests of the Company and the safety and security of all employees by enforcing policies established by the Company, as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations.
  • Identifies, develops and implements realistic goals and objectives for the district which promote growth and are supportive of the Company's goals and objectives.
  • Maximizes profitability with a focus on long term growth and without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensures that all field operations are properly supervised, organized, and equipped with an emphasis on minimizing costs without compromising safety or quality.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves concerns regarding constructability with project team.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance company's ability to procure future projects.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction of cast in place concrete structures supporting similar key position responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of all phases of concrete construction including installation of rebar and post tension systems, concrete placement, formwork systems, and layout.
  • A proven ability to successfully analyze, price, sell and manage multiple projects consistent with Company policies and a proven ability to negotiate contracts consistent with Company policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization as well as customers and subcontractors.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding jobsite productivities, quality procedures, and safety initiatives.
  • A proven ability to make decisions and follow through on commitments and who exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project and Outlook).
  • A proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks of varying degrees of scope and complexity.
  • The ability to read and analyze financial statements such as P & L's and key financial indicator reports.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety work rules and relevant OSHA requirements and regulations
