What You've Accomplished

You have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering or a related degree (e.g. physics with nuclear concentration). You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have strong technical problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, have worked in an engineering role for at least 0-2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

• Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
• You have demonstrated experience in pressurized water reactor (PWR) or boiling water reactor (BWR) core thermal-hydraulics analysis and/or research projects
  
• You have experience with nuclear industry systems, subchannel codes (e.g. VIPRE or COBRA), or other software-development/method codes.
  
• Customer focus and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
  
• Display positive and effective team interaction skills and value positive peer relationships
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a passion for problem solving

As an Early Career Core Thermal Hydraulics Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the PWR Core Design & Safety Analysis business line in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

• Preparing and applying nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulic principles and models for plant safety analyses.
• You will be involved in the preparation of engineering documentation, supporting regular customer interactions, and work with related engineering disciplines to resolve complex technical issues to produce high quality solutions.
• The department also supports analyses of advanced reactor designs and small modular reactor concepts.

This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $63,000 - $82,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
