Position Summary
The Counselor Education program at the University of Alabama invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Counseling Education with a start date of January 1, 2025 or August 15, 2025 depending on candidate availability.

Detailed Position Information
This is a nine-month, non-tenure-earning position with a contract of three years, eligible for renewal.

Responsibilities:

· Teach core course work in the master's level and doctoral level counselor education program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, with a course load of 4 courses per fall and spring semester. Course reductions are possible for service responsibilities related to practicum/internship supervision.

· Fulfill service roles in the program, department, and college.

· Provide academic advisement for master's and doctoral level students in the Counselor Education Program.

Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program by August 2024;

· Licensure (or licensure eligible) as a professional counselor in Alabama or certification (or certification eligible) as a school counselor in Alabama;

· Evidence of effective teaching and supervision experience;

· Demonstrated experience providing counselling services to varied populations;

· Demonstrated evidence of commitment to supporting underserved and underrepresented populations in alignment with accreditation requirements in the field of counseling.
