Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Judge Group is seeking a EHS Manager with manufacturing experience in a food manufacturing plant in the Covina CA area.
COMPENSATION: 100k to 120k plus bonus
MUST HAVE: 5+years of experience as an EHS manager in a food manufacturing environment
MUST HAVE: Solid knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
MUST BE: Able to travel 10-15% of the time
MUST BE: Bilingual English and Spanish
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct periodic safety and health walk through inspections
- Conduct inspections ensuring safety standards are met
- Conduct monthly safety trainings
- Carry out accident/injury investigations and illness exposure monitoring
- Monitor reporting and investigating "Close-call" situations
- Verify daily safety reports are completed (forklift and machine inspection sheets)
- Investigate employee inquiries
- Maintain required safety and health document files
- Implement safety programs (Blood Borne Pathogens, PPE, Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, - Respiratory Protection, Hazardous Communication, Emergency Action Plan)
- Conduct safety onboarding and facility walks with the new employees
- Respond to emergency situations
- Oversee first aid kit and fire extinguisher distribution
- Coordinate quarterly safety committee and safety awareness meetings
- Oversee permit applications (Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), California Environmental Reporting - System (CERS), high risers, water treatment)
- Follow up on safety work orders
- Conduct annual Emergency Evacuation
- Compile periodic reports regarding safety injuries
- Ensure timely documentation
- Track incident metrics
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+years of experience as an EHS manager in a food manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Able to travel 10-15% of the time
