We're seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in Chelmsford, MA. In this role, you'll contribute to the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge systems and robotic controllers. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and operations teams to deliver innovative and reliable product solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
In a typical week, you will:

Design & Development: Collaborate with the engineering team to design and test new PCBs for system and robotic controllers.

Testing & Validation: Qualify PCBA designs with industry-standard protocols, such as Ethernet, UART, SPI, and I2C, and work with components including FPGAs, Flash memory, DC/DC power supplies, and in-rush controllers.

Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve customer and operations team challenges promptly.

Documentation & Standards: Maintain proper documentation, adhere to engineering design standards, and ensure the consistent use of processes and systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical and software engineers to develop comprehensive product solutions.

Continuous Learning: Participate in design reviews, hands-on prototyping, lab testing, and professional development activities such as 'Lunch & Learn' seminars.
Qualifications & Skills:Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers.
- Proficiency in industry protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot DC-DC power supply circuits.
- Competence in component selection and interpreting datasheets.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex PCB designs.

Software Skills: Proficient in standard Windows applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred:
- Experience with Altium Designer for PCB layout.
- Knowledge of mechanical sheet metal design and 3D printing.
- Cable design experience.
- Familiarity with FPGA concepts.
- Proficiency in Spice modeling and analysis (or equivalent tools).
- Programming knowledge in C, C++, or Python.
Additional Requirements:
- Comfortable using standard lab equipment and tools.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (< 5%).
