LOCATION: Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.

SALARY RANGE: $58,916 - $65,463 per year

*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

POSITION SUMMARY

Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations of EMS training in accordance with department districtwide training objectives and student success initiatives. Establish and maintain relationships with district customers while focusing on customer experience and engagement. Provide guidance and oversight in EMS strategic planning, goal setting, the assessment of success and communicates budget objectives. This position plays an integral part in ensuring all governing body certifications and requirements are met. EMS coordination includes Paramedic, EMT, Advanced EMT, Emergency Medical Responder, First Aid, CPR, etc.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Develop and maintain relationships with state certifying agencies, industry, and community partners. Serves as the liaison for EMS training and compliance in Northeast Wisconsin.
  • Coordinate credentialing and scheduling of EMS classes and instructors/assistants in conjunction with DHS, AHA, WTCS and NWTC standards.
  • Oversees the program certification licensure between Michigan and Wisconsin and ensures annual compliance.
  • Coordinate the logistics and service of EMS equipment and supplies throughout the district. Research the use of innovative EMS technology; provide annual budget recommendations for implementation to meet curriculum needs.
  • Gather internal and external feedback using surveys or interviews with employers regarding district and agency needs.
  • Coordinate mobile EMS lab and simulation training throughout the district.
  • Coordinate the development of EMS course delivery of services throughout NWTC District at Regional Learning Centers and campuses. Serve as the primary contact for all EMS training requests.
  • Coordinate NREMT psychomotor and cognitive exams to include credentialing of students through certifying agencies.
  • Coordinate and participate in career exploration, community and college-sponsored recruitment events, and partner with K12 initiatives to increase awareness while meeting the customer needs.
  • Strategically collaborate marketing initiatives and training/event materials to promote across multiple platforms.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of an associate's degree in related field and two years of related public safety (Law Enforcement, EMS, Fire, etc.) and/or medical occupational experience. *An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
  • At a minimum, occupational experience must have occurred at least 1 year within the last 5 years.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under the districts standard insurance policy terms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified CPR instructor
  • Certified EMT, AEMT or Paramedic
  • Experience working in a post-secondary environment with evidence of leadership
  • Project management
