Purpose of Job:

The Finance Coordinator will support the Finance Leadership Team (FLT), leading and assisting daily operations. This role is responsible for coordinating and following through on project and administrative processes, procedures, and reporting to ensure a smooth workflow. The Finance Coordinator will work to improve people and internal financial processes to drive efficiencies in the day-to-day activities.

Job Components:

  • Support Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the finance SharePoint site for policy and other updates, partnering with the respective finance leader to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Draft, review, and organize PowerPoint and other presentations for both internal and external communications.
  • Support VP and Directors by designing, implementing, and reporting on internal processes to support projects and transformation initiatives including acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Assist in cost center budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Schedule and coordinate Finance meetings:
    • Manage conflicts and reschedule as required,
    • Assist with preparing agendas,
    • Reserve rooms/venues, food etc. and
    • Record and track meeting committed actions as required.
  • Organize and assist in creating Finance Team communications and plan events, both internal and off-site.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and expense reporting.
  • Communicate information effectively with all business channels of the organization.
  • Assist with the proper disposition of finance department mail ensuring department responsibilities are handled timely.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
  • Participate in or lead other finance projects and duties as required/assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent business experience.
  • 5+ years' professional experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel using formulas and tables, and the ability to export into PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
  • Works well with management, peers, and subordinates, and is a self-motivated, team player.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and establish facts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply mathematical concepts, create spreadsheets, and read financial data.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, prioritize their importance, and meet deadlines with guidance only on the most complex items.
  • Ability to effectively present information to audiences of varying levels of authority in the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in planning and managing logistics for events.

Work Environment:
  • Work is primarily performed in an indoor office setting with extended periods at a computer.
  • Ability to work both onsite and work remotely.
  • Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.
  • Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle and talk and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
