We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team who will have the opportunity to champion our Global Finance Transformation by providing quality analysis and insights for one of our most diverse and complex divisions within the company
This role supports the Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) within Caterpillar. IPSD is responsible for the manufacturing and sale of Caterpillar's small to mid-sized engines that are used in various applications across the world.
This role will not only enhance one's communication, presentation and financial analysis skills through challenging job responsibilities, while also providing opportunities for collaboration and networking across the enterprise.
JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position is primarily focused on consolidated business unit reporting and analysis. Areas of responsibility include:
- Internal profit center accounting, focused on monthly reporting as well as quarterly forecast submissions.
- IPSD financial reporting system administration
BACKGROUND/SKILLS & CAPABILITIES: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
- Demonstration of strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data, trends, and patterns.
- Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of Financial Reporting, FP&A and month end processes; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports and identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Experience working in a global environment with multiple stakeholders to drive outcomes; process transitions and transformations in a virtual environment.
- Experience in advanced Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint presentations required. Additionally, experience with advanced EPM (Enterprise Reporting Management) reporting tools such as Axiom and ETL (Extract, Transfer, Load) tools such as Alteryx highly preferred.
- Self-starter who works well independently and on a team, with excellent communication skills understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to quickly learn Caterpillar management reporting methodology and knowledge about products, suppliers, and consumers

Summary Pay Range: $95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
