Position Summary:The Financial Reporting Accountant Senior position assists in the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statements for the university, including the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) and Richard Bland College (RBC). The position is responsible for other compliance reporting and to ensure the integrity of data in the university's financial system.
Primary responsibilities include preparation of the Facilities & Administrative Rate Proposal for W&M and VIMS, analysis and compilation of the Foundations' financial information for inclusion in the consolidated financial statements, preparing investment reconciliations and journal entries, preparing year-end entries for the financial statements, various year-end reports and schedules, financial surveys, and journal entry review.
This position may require hours beyond the typical work week due to high peak times such as financial statement preparation.

Advertised Pay Range:$55,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience.
