Job Type: Contract (long term)

Notes:

7-10 years The position is a senior-level role within a highly technical team of employees and contractors responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting software services for the Network and Unified Communications (NUC) organization within Client's Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team.

The focus will be on delivering automation and orchestration products using key open-source technologies and an agile mindset.

The primary responsibility will be to transition more network functions to a self-serve model, enabling customers to build and manage their own environments independently.

This will involve implementing new automation technologies, developing orchestration solutions, and updating legacy processes to support our infrastructure using agile methodologies.

You will lead software development efforts within an assigned portfolio and provide subject matter expertise to network and application teams, engaging with our largest global network support teams.

The role will drive the creation of automation throughout our complex environment by collaborating closely with various technical organizations and business portfolios to ensure the development, design, and delivery of the appropriate automation and efficiencies for our platforms.

Position Requirements:

Ability to direct the group to develop new processes, orchestration and creating new automation

Ability to develop complex python3, Celery, FastAPI, Ansible, and View.js code

Ability to use CRUD functions in Mongo and MySQL databases

Ability to create and present presentations to various management levels

Ability to lead and manage cross functional groups towards a common result

Ability to take the lead, develop new ideas, present and defend those ideas

Ability to coach and develop the group to ensure employees are best positioned for the future

Ability to work independently to achieve objectives

Ability to demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward

Need to have:

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience

Strong leadership skills and the ability to work and interact with multiple levels of management

Results oriented Agile mindset with a strong sense of urgency

2+ years of experience working with Agile practices

2+ years of experience with network automation

2+ years of experience with software development

Ability to manage multiple critical initiatives at once

Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills

Strong Presenter

Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately

Strong software skills in python3, and YAML

Strong database skills in mongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL

Strong understanding of software design

Strong skills in git and gitlab

Linux background

Strong docker and swarm skills

Ansible skills

Even better if you have:

MBA, or advanced university degree

4 year degree in engineering, business, computer science or technical discipline

Agile Project Management and Scrum Master Certification

Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures

Experience creating and presenting presentations to all levels of an organization

Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills

A focus on process and the customer experience

Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility

Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience

Adaptability in working up and across the organization
