What You Will Contribute:


The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design, layout and typography for a range of collateral including, but not restricted to brochures, logos, presentations, trade shows and packaging. They will have excellent planning and organization skills and be able to track tasks and projects within the brand team. They will have responsibility for creating, maintaining and enhancing our customer facing touchpoints as well as our internal documentation. This position will partner with the Sr. Graphic Designer with executing the brand strategy as part of the wider Global Marketing Communications strategy and work closely with the Global Brand Strategy Manager and other members of the Brand Strategy team. As a Graphic Designer, you will be expected to communicate and collaborate, not only with the wider Marketing Communications team but also with other employees of Badger Meter to allow you to execute tasks to the best of your ability.

Job Duties:

  • Partner with the wider Global Marketing Communications Team, confidently communicating in conversations whilst expressing constructive opinions that contribute to a successful outcome
  • Present your ideas to peers and senior management, distil relevant feedback and act accordingly
  • Take projects from initial concept through to final artwork, overseeing and taking responsibility for each phase of the process
  • Play a significant role in tasks and projects and always look to develop new ideas and concepts that adhere to the overall marketing strategy
  • Produce work across a variety of different media both offline and online including; brochures, presentations, logos, trade shows, packaging, social media and video
  • Translate briefs into creative solutions that deliver best in class campaign messaging with exceptional attention to detail
  • Actively support organizing and scheduling of projects and tasks, you must have excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met and briefs are executed appropriately
  • Take existing best practice procedures and execute effectively across a wide range of marketing collateral
  • Work closely with the Global Brand Strategy team to assist in contributing and executing the overall brand strategy to ensure strategic goals are met throughout the year
  • Develop excellent working relationships within the Global Marketing Communications Team that assist in delivering strategies through proactive communication
  • Up to 10% travel required

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic design or a related fine arts field required
  • 3+ years of experience in a graphic designer position working either in-house or agency side and with preferred B2B knowledge desired; Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree

Qualifications:
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of their work with the goal of continuous improvement required
  • Excellent knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint required
  • Good understanding of print production techniques and creating artwork ready files with exceptional attention to detail required
  • Experience of working with Digital Asset Management (DAM) software preferred;
  • Previous experience of using workflow management software for project scheduling preferred
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach and has the ability to thrive in a busy environment required
