This position will be responsible for executing sales and distribution strategy for a rapidly growing Accident & Health business within Everest Insurance. The selected candidate will collaborate with the leadership team to establish appropriate and strategic actions plans to achieve the desired production goals. The role will manage an existing business development team as well as build additional roles across Accident & Health. The person will build and leverage long-term relationships with internal A&H team stakeholders, as well as with the Everest Insurance National Distribution and Regional Executive Teams, to effectively develop and foster retail distribution partnerships in the desired product segments.

Within the Corporate and Business Travel segments, the position will focus in the areas of travel risk management (both insured and non-insured travel and medical assistance service) solutions across small, medium, and large corporations. This includes marketing Multinational Business Travel solutions. In the Group, non-Corporate segments, the role will focus on building distribution capabilities to support the growth of our participant accident, K-12 student accident, volunteer, day care, camp, and amateur and youth sports segments. The Supplemental Health products include Fixed Indemnity and GAP Medical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and execution of market strategies across all broker, MGA, and MGU channels, contributing to overall company revenue goals, as well as product line profitability targets and financial milestones.
  • Build and maintain close rapport at c-suite level with A&H brokers, MGAs and partners
  • Guide and develop distribution and sales teams; develop talent that fosters a high caliber inclusive sales team, focused on meeting company goals.
  • Develop and meet new business production goals selling A&H products.
  • Work with the Head of A&H and product line managers to prepare sales forecasts for short- and long-term planning, oversee sales forecasts by channel, partner and product.
  • Work with Regional Executive teams and regional A&H resources to build a pipeline of A&H opportunities.
  • Build connections across A&H and Everest Insurance to source new partnership opportunities.
  • Evaluate new partnership opportunities that create strategic value and align with A&H products.
  • Develop deal structures that drive growth and profitability for Everest and partners.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of A&H sales management and business development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across a diverse organization
  • Experience building and expanding relationships.
  • Bring established contacts/relationships with target clients to the organization.
  • Develop partner value propositions and P&L's/financials. Skilled at identifying win/win situations to develop strong partnerships
  • Develop and grow a sales team
  • Analytic and financial analysis competencies; results driven/oriented
  • Ability to travel - 50%, or as otherwise required
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills including presentations, persuasion, timing, and negotiation
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Sales skills in including metrics and funnel management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Sales and/or Marketing

For NYC Only: The base salary range for this position is $245,000 - $265,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
