Job Summary:

This position is responsible for non-skilled heavy general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Duties:

• Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing is required in this area.
  
• Heavy lifting up to 70lbs or more.
  
• Driving forklifts bobcats, scissor lifts, and shovels.
  
• Usage of lock out tag out and fall arrest may be required.
  
• Operators are required to work on their equipment and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
  
• Must be able to work in a hot and cold environment, working with steam and hot grease or outside in the winter.
  
• These areas have slippery walking surfaces.
  
• Must be able to work with chemicals.
  
• Will be required to wear all standard Tyson issued PPE, in addition to specific PPE required for rendering jobs.
  
• Some jobs assigned may require climbing stairs/ladders.
  
• Operative jobs require a higher skill level.
  

Requirements:

Must have 6 months of experience listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).

The Rendering Department runs 6 days a week.

Applicants must be willing and able to work ANY shift assigned.

Must be willing and able to work in the following work environments: Hot and Humid.

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.

Operators are required to work on their equipment and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
