The Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting faculty at all ranks interested in clinical research or clinician educator positions focused on the management of patients with acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. This candidate will be expected to work with a group of faculty and APPs in the management of patients with acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes and MDS/myeloproliferative neoplasms. This candidate will participate in a robust and active inpatient and outpatient clinical research program in Leukemia at the University of North Carolina. The responsibilities include attending on the inpatient hematologic malignancy service and managing patients with acute leukemia and MDS in the outpatient clinics at the University of North Carolina or our affiliated Cancer Centers.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:MD, MD/PhD, DO or MBBS degrees. All individuals will have completed a fellowship in adult hematology and/or oncology and be board eligible/certified in hematology and/or oncology.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:The preferred individual will have at least three years of experience managing patients with acute leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes, and a history of leading clinical research studies for this patient population. They will have a history of working collaboratively in an academic medical setting and mentoring hematology/oncology trainees.
