TITLE: High School Research Intern in Agronomy
DEPARTMENT: College of Agriculture Community and the Sciences
EFFECTIVE DATE: Position will Remain Open until Filled

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB: A High School Research Intern will report to KSU Faculty Member to support in established research projects within the College of Agriculture, Community, and Sciences.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Under the direct supervision of KSU Faculty Member.(Assistant Professor – Agronomy), the High School Research Assistant will contribute to established research projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 scale
2) Student must be able to give a block of time of at least two hours
3) Student must be able to provide own transportation to location
4) Comfortable working in field and greenhouse in all conditions (hot, wet, or dusty conditions with allergens)
5) Interest in agriculture, environmental science, horticulture, agribusiness, etc. is preferred
