As an HR Coordinator you will:
- Follows a variety of clearly defined procedures within functional disciplines such as benefits, compensation, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, operations, etc. Generally, assignments are made up of a series of activities and tasks to be completed by using general application of established guidelines and procedures. The scope for discretion requires applying individual reasoning to deviate from standard techniques and practices. The work priorities are defined with the supervisor. Incumbent is expected to offer suggestions for improvement to methods and processes.
- Provides "how-to" instructions and answers questions on work processes within the same work group.
- Handles routine problems requiring solutions that are based on assembly and examination of readily available facts and past experience in similar situations. Most solutions can be found by determining the best approach from several existing options. Most complex problem solving may include choosing the appropriate solution from several options.
- Has a moderate impact on the support activities of the direct work group/team. May begin to impact achievement of the job's work group goals.
- Influence is indirect and supportive in nature with limited accountability beyond the position. Working tasks might include:
- Records meeting minutes and prepares summary of proceedings
- Maintains the employee information system
- Update and audit HR and payroll records
- Responds to phone calls
- Sets up the personnel files and databases for contract employees
- Exercises discretion in all matters of confidentiality
- Gathers and assembles information for reports as directed by supervisor
- Administers training invitations, registrations, and confirmations
- Exercises discretion in matters of confidentiality
- Primary contacts are typically internal and on a co-worker level. Limited opportunities to interact with outside customers.
- Interaction is focused on answering routine and non-routine questions, and the request or exchange of primarily standardized information with an audience which is knowledgeable about the subject area.
- Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with company values and ethical standards.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of a secondary/high school degree or equivalent education is required.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience is normally required.
- A technical/vocational/trade school degree (2-3 years after high school) in the appropriate/applicable field is preferred.
- Broad level of knowledge of a specialized area within a functional discipline, such as benefits, compensation, staffing, organizational development, employee relations, operations, etc. Uses general knowledge and understanding of work group policies and procedures to facilitate completion of tasks.
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $29.78 per hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
