The Inspection Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and production of the branch's inspection department, from the point of sale through implementation to customer retention. This is a "working manager" position in which the candidate will perform inspections and testing of Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, and Backflow Preventer systems, while also helping to develop the Inspector Department. *Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*
* Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
* Test and inspect Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, and Backflow Preventer systems in place, ensuring compliance with code.
* Ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner and conducted thoroughly and accurately.
* Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues identified.
* Report results of completed work accurately and on time.
* Protect and maintain company equipment.
* Meet with building engineers, property management, and/or site contacts upon arrival and departure to communicate work status.
* Inspect and maintain the truck and related equipment, submitting repair requests as needed to ensure safe operation.
* Follow company safety procedures, including driver safety and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
* Other duties as assigned by management.
*Education/Qualification:*
* *Kentucky State Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Inspector Licenses (required).*
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Technical School Certificate (preferred).
* Knowledge of NFPA standards (including 70 and 72).
* NICET certification (preferred).
* Must have the ability to act in a lead capacity and manage teams or groups on projects.
* Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site.
* Must be flexible with scheduling requirements, including occasional evening, weekend, and/or out-of-town assignments.
* Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles, practices, codes, and regulations related to the work.
* Requires the ability to review official documents for completeness and accuracy.
* Requires the ability to recognize and report deviations during inspections.
* Requires the ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
* Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
* Requires the ability to understand and follow both oral and written directions.
* Requires the ability to use small/light equipment (e.g., power tools, ladders) and medium machinery.
*Other Duties:*

* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
*Physical Requirements:*
* While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects. May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
* The work also requires the following physical abilities to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
* Industrial, Commercial, and Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights.
