General Summary: Provides care for all of the patient population: Neonatal, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Late Adult within the Medical Imaging/Interventional Radiology Department
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care for patients that come to the Interventional Radiology Department
- Ensures that critical or high-risk patients are always attended by the appropriate nursing/technical personnel.
- Documents patient care/assessment data on the appropriate nursing record including: vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, administration and effectiveness of medication, IV therapy.
- Educates patients and family
What you will need:Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame)
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Preferred:
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- ACLS preferred (or must be obtain with probationary period)
- 2 years of critical care experience preferred; previous experience as an IR Nurse highly preferred
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:Current knowledge of nursing skills and practice
Computer and audiovisual skills using various applications: Internet, email, word processing
Ability to retrieve and interpret data
Effectively read, speak, write, compose and comprehend English
Effective eye and hand coordination
Ability to analyze and synthesize information within a short period of time Effective problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize Ability to work well with individuals and groups
Pay Range: $35.41 - $54.19
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
