Description: Our client is currently seeking a IT Project Manager
REMOTE within TX
As an IT Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of business systems in support of our banking technology programs. We are looking for critical thinkers who are organized and can effectively manage complex projects in a dynamic banking environment. Responsibilities will include managing the discovery process for eliciting requirements and coordinating all tasks associated with solution definition, design, and development. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing the project charter, planning capacity, effort and cost estimates, resource requirements, work breakdown structure, and schedule. You will schedule resources on tasks, conduct status update meetings and working sessions, review and track project progress, report and present to project stakeholders, and monitor vendor deliverables and service level agreements. You will also develop risk assessments, risk mitigations/responses, document issues, assign issues, and track issues to closure. Following and enhancing established project management procedures and utilizing the project budget by developing capital expenditures will also be key responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience
6+ years' experience managing, independently, implementations of large projects greater than $2 million.
4+ years in large, complex Banking environment - very strong experience within banking technology and software development lifecycle
Proficient in Microsoft computer applications (MS Project)
Demonstrated ability to move work forward with sense of urgency.
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Strong organizational skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of project management disciplines
