As the IT Technical Director for Engagement Platforms, you will take ownership of the Engagement/CRM Platforms Portfolio for the Wharton School. You will align service offerings with the higher-level Mission and Strategic Goals of the School and Wharton Computing, leveraging strategic goal setting and direction to drive the effective utilization of CRM and related platforms. Collaborating with senior leaders across the School and University, you will ensure that practices and processes are aligned and optimized. You will also dive deeply into complex business processes and technology stacks, identifying sophisticated solutions to address challenges and guiding others through the implementation process.


Responsibilities:

  • Explore, develop, and establish Customer Relationship Management strategies and practices for the Wharton School.
  • Lead a team of CRM and Business Process professionals, including Email Marketing, Business Analysis, Customer Success, and Financial Services.
  • Provide strategic direction to the team, fostering their professional development and facilitating strategic hiring.
  • Define performance metrics to ensure the security, reliability, supportability, scalability, and performance of the School's Engagement Platforms, which currently include Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, Revenue Cloud, B2B Commerce, Pardot, EDA and other services.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusivity of the platforms.
  • Manage key vendor relationships, including Salesforce, DocuSign, External Consultants, and Central IT Service Providers.
  • Expand the scope of work to include Research Centers, Administrative Departments (e.g. IT), and other School Initiatives

A majority combination of the below-required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3-5 years of experience in CRM strategy and practice, preferably within a higher education or research institution.
  • Expertise in Salesforce SalesCloud, ExperienceCloud, RevenueCloud, CPQ/Billing, Pardot, or other related platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management abilities.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and results.

  • DocuSign Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM).
  • Tableau Data Visualization & Analytics.
