IT Test Analyst - IT Applications

Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Test Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the Testing Center of Excellence, where you will be part of a high-performing quality assurance team participating in the delivery of quality software.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in Test Scenario and Test Case identification
- Create and maintain Test Scenarios and Test Cases, including steps and expected results
- Identify and maintain Test Data
- Execute Functional Tests and document test execution utilizing HP ALM
- Proactively identify functional, technical, and integration-related defects
- Perform preliminary troubleshooting of defects to facilitate quick resolution
- Document defects utilizing HP ALM
- Effectively communicate issues, risks, and daily testing status to Team Lead or Test Lead

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience testing Point of Sale systems
- Experience testing with systems that integrate with Point-of-Sale systems
- Experience identifying and writing test scenarios and test cases
- Experience identifying test data and managing test data across test environments
- Proficiency in reading/speaking Spanish and French to translate on the POS is a plus
- Experience with HP ALM / Quality Center, JIRA, or other test and defect management tools
- Delivery experience on projects in Agile methodology
- Retail domain experience preferred
- Functional Testing experience and conversant with ETL processes and tools
- SQL knowledge in retail Domain is a nice to have
- Strong interpersonal skills, proactive participation in Team environment
- Effective documentation and communication skills
- Demonstrates analytical skills to assist in solving problems and making decisions

This role is project-based and requires a flexible and adaptable individual. The successful candidate will be expected to attend meetings and complete tasks related to test prep or test execution daily. This position is on-site 3-5 days a week, and our client will provide a company computer. The ideal candidate will have at least a few years of experience testing on POS systems.
