Description: Our client is currently seeking a JR Sourcing Analyst

strong analytical skill/Excel skills with an interest in procurement.

Open to someone with strong Microsoft Office skills/administrative or a recent college graduate.

Job Summary: The Sourcing Analyst will support the Operational Procurement Team by conducting RFPs for construction, engineering, and facilities categories. They will also handle material RFQs using SAP and create purchase orders for stock and specialty materials. Additionally, the Sourcing Analyst will support strategic sourcing efforts, compliance initiatives, and expediting activities across the Utilities Business Unit. Responsibilities include tracking spend with preferred suppliers, developing and creating RFPs, generating spend analysis reports, and other initiatives to minimize the cost of acquiring goods and services while ensuring service quality.

Key Characteristics:

• Experience with SAP Ariba sourcing, including setting up RFXs and enabling vendor participation in sourcing events.
• Proficient in handling large datasets from multiple sources and presenting findings in a meaningful and actionable manner. Advanced Excel skills required.
• Knowledge of legal and commercial laws and procurement tactics.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple activities under tight deadlines and heavy workloads.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of the "Strategic Sourcing" process and mindset.
• Create, analyze, and manage Ariba sourcing projects, collaborating with the SAP IT team on technical requests to keep projects on schedule.
• Collaborate with Operations and Procurement on data gathering for RFPs.
• Assist in contract creation and execution.
• Expedite materials and services on executed contracts.
• Contribute to the continual development and optimization of operating procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with procurement systems and systems management, with specific experience in SAP Ariba being a plus.
• Strong project management and process skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong bias for action.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with demonstrated business/financial acumen.
• Proficient with Windows applications, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

Education and Experience Required:

• Experience in a "Strategic Sourcing" environment.
• 2-4 years of procurement-related experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a Finance or Audit role is a plus.
• College graduate with a BS in a business-related major.
