Location: Southlake, TX

Contract: 12+ Months (Contract To extend/ Hire)

Description

• The client is actively adopting and transforming to a full agile model in the software development practices.
• The ODX (Operational Data Exchange) organization, part of DaRT (Data and Rep Tech) team responsible for delivering operational data and is seeking entry level and junior software engineer to play an active engineering role and be a part of building the future state Data Exchange systems in Cloud.
• The candidate is expected to have good understanding of data engineering practices such as creating and securing data pipelines and data stores following prescribed policies and procedures.
• The primary responsibility of this position is data engineering or automation of testing and implementation processes resulting in creating effective, reliable, and repeatable solutions that suits for multiple DX teams.

Responsibilities

• Applies requirement analysis techniques and tools to independently manage requirements for projects
• Assist in design and specification activities for projects, applying design principles and standards to develop software solutions
• Build or support data pipelines and reporting solutions
• Assist in automation of processes including monitoring, provisioning and testing
• Perform programming activities. Codes, tests, debugs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to propose innovation solutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in a computer science or related field
• Good understanding of Database, SQL and/or Postgres
• Good understanding of Data pipelines and patterns
• Experience in Python or Java coding skills
• Experience in dev tools such as Jira, GitHub, Bamboo, JMeter, SonarQube
• Good communication skills Oral and Written to convey ideas and persuade others
• Knowledge in cloud-based data platform such as GCP/GCS/BigQuery or AWS/S3 is a plus
• Experience with ETL tools like SSIS or Informatica is preferred
